Greenwich Village Townhouse

Wishing to accommodate a growing family and to display a robust modern art collection, the clients retained SAS to design new residential space in an existing nationally-landmarked Greenwich Village townhouse, a Greek style Revival building constructed in 1868.

The house hosts several site-specific art installations, most notably the stainless steel cube by Rirkrit Tiravanija and the ground-to-first-floor stairs by Jim Lambie.
