Isaac Mizrahi Exhibition
The Jewish Museum, New York
2016

SAS designed Isaac Mizrahi: An Unruly History at the Jewish Museum, the first museum exhibition to focus on the influential American fashion designer, artist, and entrepreneur. The exhibition explores Mizrahi’s transformative influence in the 1980s and 1990s and his unique position at the boundaries of couture and mass market, fashion, theater and film. For this exhibition, SAS inscribed clean geometric volumes within the Museum’s ornate rooms, creating a strict minimalist framework to house Isaac’s exuberant work.

On view March 18 - August 7, 2016.

"To make sure the clothes pop in all their glory, the galleries... and all the windows are screened with ethereal white scrims—a reference to Mr. Mizrahi’s show of Fall 1994"
